Personality: Compared to what most people (aka the British wizarding community) may think of him either as a savior or a terror to watch out for, Harry’s quite complicated to pinpoint into one thing: in fact, he has so many layers to look into. For one, his strongest aspect is being able to love, it is this very thing that is pivotal to beat Voldemort in his ‘take over the Wizarding World’ plan, for the latter never knew what love really is. It doesn’t even help that he wasn’t given any loving care from his aunt and uncle in his childhood though, but whenever he bonds with someone, he’ll take his relations with that person seriously, whether with friends or family. He’ll risk his own life just to make sure that the people he love stay safe, however the whole ‘people saving’ thing, as Hermione called it, often confuses him in whether if someone is in danger or not. Lily’s kindness has been passed down onto him, he’s more than kind enough to help those who need help. He seriously values friendship and family more than anything as he does come from a really rocky childhood among abusive relatives. Being the ‘Boy Who Lived’ has taken a toll on his life, and he sometimes feels super lonely, due to the childhood misery he got early on. He does like being around people, but he’s more of a close-ties person rather a full-on extrovert that most Gryffindors are most likely to be. He’s really a nice friendly guy, unless you push him too far, that is. Then he’ll be cranky, all-out emo, and very snarky. He can be quite arrogant, stubborn, and act like a jerk at times without noticing it, which is a trait passed on from his dad James, which almost broke his friendship with Ron during the Horcrux Hunt.
In a glance, Harry seems to be your average Gryffindor: brave, loyal, courageous, jumps into fights even if he doesn’t know how they’ll end but he has to do something! Also worth noting in his Gryffindor stats, he can be reckless at times (such as snooping on Draco Malfoy in his Sixth Year without knowing of the consequences), yet he’s willing to reason out usually depending on who he’s talking to (mostly *cough, cough*Hermione*cough, cough*). He can make friends easily, as he was able to make close ties with Ron at the Hogwarts Express in their First Year, and with Hermione after he and Ron saved her from being attacked by a troll. He’s fiercely protective and loyal of his friends, to make the story short. This fellow also has a clear sense of right and wrong whenever he comes across bad people or events, trying to understand the situation. He can stand up for himself, and whatever he knows is right, even people of high authority aren’t immune to his wrath, it could rub off on people in the wrong way if he isn’t being careful with what he says. He was able to shrug off being possessed by Voldemort and the Imperious Curse as a teen, and can hold his ground even at the face of ruthless school adversary, such as with the rumors of him being Syltherin’s Heir in Second Year, he managed to confront the people spewing them, in spite of the trouble these gave him.
Yet, there’s more to him to being a just regular ole’ Gryffindor. He was this close to be sent to Slytherin in his first year for various reasons: first off, he can be sneaky and clever as he can be if he wants to be. He can handle puzzles pretty decently, although he’s not as scary-smart as Hermione or has the same Wizard Chess skills as with Ron. Harry’s also pretty determined in achieving his goals (short-term and long-term alike), which is another trait associated with the Slytherin house. If he has something certain on his mind, he’ll go straight for it, no stops on end! Not to mention being so stubborn and focused on the goal. He doesn’t even mind breaking some rules to just to get the job done, which happens to him a LOT, although he does certainly knows when to back out which is, again, another Slytherin thing.
Harry has also shown resourcefulness, thinks on his feet, and makes use of the items & environment around him to get to his goals, which is also another Slytherin trademark. While he doesn’t admit it publicly, he’s quite an ambitious guy, with the main one being stopping Voldemort from screwing up the Wizarding World until he’s dead. This is also highlighted with the fact that he tends to make himself so unassuming that he never brags so much on his abilities publicly. And oh, they said Slytherins make good leaders, right? Oh, that screams Harry too, even though he wasn’t planning on being one anyway, but he does a surprisingly good job at it, as he led Dumbledore’s Army in his Fifth Year and the Gryffindor Quidditch Team in his Sixth Year.
He doesn’t take keeping secrets to remain secrets too well, essentially acting as an information sponge that everyone has to spill the beans to, although he has to learn that not every secret should be spilled out and that truth may not be open to everyone. What do you expect from someone who hates being locked out of the loop by grown-ups for so long? However, him withholding secrets from others doesn’t mean he hates or doesn’t trust someone, he only does it because he thinks this is the only way to keep them safe from harm. He can be reckless in action and thought, is stubborn as a mule, and a hot-headed & moody creature. After all, teenagers are moody creatures, although he has other problems no other teen should go through, such as people trying to kill him, so you can’t hardly blame him for acting strangely whenever something bad happens.
He has suffered depression and PTSD due to the scary combination of a terrible childhood spent with the Dursleys and having to deal with the complications that come with being the ‘Chosen One’, the madness that is the Second Wizarding War, losing many friends & allies over the years, and the heavy weight of the fame he had got from surviving the Killing Curse through his mom’s sacrifice as a baby. Because of all of this, he has fend for himself most of the time or he’ll get crushed literally and figuratively. He just wants to be seen as like any other person (or wizard for that matter): he would rather want to be remembered for his own skill sets than just his name alone.
The poor guy also has a tendency to being in the dumps and carrying the guilt that he shouldn’t be bothered with, especially when he felt responsible for Sirius’ death during his Fifth Year that he wasn’t quite sure if he had done something different to prevent it from happening. He can be very quiet and reserved, especially when he gets really moody or goes off moping, and if something bad happens or gets him off-guard or confused, he gets really more emo and brooding than, let’s say, Malfoy. And yes, he can get very judgmental at times, most especially with the Syltherin House in his early Hogwarts years, that the fact he has to deal with Colin Creevey, and even sometimes looking down on his good friend Neville at times (again this comes with the tendency of his to act unconsciously like an arrogant jerk at times), although over time with the House bias, he did open up his eyes to see more bad eggs in the other houses (including his own house) and some good Slytherins such as the case of Horace Slughorn and, yes, even Snape too. Nevertheless, he’s still a kind friendly guy who’ll be loyal to you & fight for you until the very end.
CRAU history: Shortly after he was able to repair his wand following the end of the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry finds himself suddenly being dropped into the Bay of Avalon and swimming for his life as part of the first batch of Otherworlders brought into the Isle of Avalon to save it and the multiverse from a crisis brought upon by the Excalibur induced Calamity. Upon arriving there he gets to meet his familiar, Rose the Pygmy Puff, and discovers his new kinetic magic (and later elemental magic) that replaced his canon. When he arrived at New Camelot, Harry initially got a job as a cafe barista and begin to slowly open up to other people about his world and past something that he didn’t imagine doing in his world.
Without anyone from home to help him out or to bond with, he has to work harder to get used to his new magic and make friends with other people from worlds different from his own. Among the people he became good friends with include the likes of Kyoko Mogami, Tsuna Sawada, Akira Kurusu, Princess Zelda, Hayato Gokudera, Donovan Deegan, Claire Redfield, Princess Aurora, Alice Liddell, Takao Kuzinari, Gundham Tanaka, Oda Nobunaga, Lucy/Nyuu, Ken Amada, Sokka, Suki, Jane Porter, Archer, Robyn Goodfellow, Mona Meigus, Mamuro Chiba, Anthony J. Crowley, Amy Rose, Della Duck, Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera, Shoto Todoroki, Kainé, Zero, Elza, Anna, and Kotarou Tennouji.
Along the way, he takes on quests, explore new hobbies, slowly becomes more confident in himself, and learning to be more patient with every mishap he gets into. Plus he did changed up his look by getting vision correction and giving himself a hair cut to help in boosting up his confidence. While much of his time in Avalon is mostly peaceful, there are times where he gets involved in events that could turn Avalon upside down when he participated in the Solstice Night Run and sprinkled water onto a rock at the Fae’s insistence, which then caused a harsh heavy storm raining down on Camelot which needed to be resolved by stealing the Black Knight’s sword and bring it to Morganna so she can restore the weather. He has some misgiving towards Celliwig initially after he and Akira retrieve the crystals for the Brave of Heart and Pure of Soul Mirror when the city, not impressed by the performance of the otherworldlers, decided to close its borders to the rest of Avalon.
Then things got weirder when he participated in a synchronous magic ritual in the next month and made a wish to protect the people he loved from home and in Avalon, which unfortunately translated to items repelling away from him during Camelot’s magical chaos later in the month and he accidentally gained Crowley’s demon powers which he used to good use in helping a friend with gathering many clones of his mentor and assist in taking on the orc bandits during the trip to the Archivist’s Home. When things in Camelot got restored, he spent the next two months laying low, being busy with work, joining Kyoko in her search for her fairy friend Corn in the forest and learning not to mess with fire magic when he gained elemental magic.
May was proven to be just as eventful when he regained his owl friend Hedwig despite losing her at home on the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts. During the Celliwig trials, he was tested in many ways: including accidentally drinking the poison chalice after having a long conversation with Elza which had him thinking twice of drinking from it initially. Luckily after the otherworlders barely passed the tests, he got whisked away into celebrating the Summer Solstice (despite it ending in chaos with aggravated spirits and loads of water) and begin to slowly make efforts to be more social and enjoy life like a normal person for once.
But as time goes on, things get very terrifying when an attempt to wake up a sleeping sorcerer in the underground city of Lestari turned out to be a bad idea which caused the destruction of it and Celliwig and the loss of lives due to a rightfully peeved dragon and a stone giant. He was a part of the search and rescue team for Lestari but even then he felt bad for not being able to get to help out Celliwig sooner and someone else’s attempt to revive the Fisher King months later brought more trouble for everyone. As the months come and go, many of his friends begin to vanish from Avalon and he feels rather heartbroken and withdraws for a good while. And he also becomes a knight too.
Eventually when the time has come to restore order back to the multiverse, and with it, the return of some of his friends, Harry gets himself ready to prepare for the endgame against the cursed Excalibur and he took part in stopping it, thus restoring time and the rest of the universe. He had to say goodbye to his friends and Rose as he had to return home for his mission in Avalon is done. Well he would have a big homecoming if he had not been dragged into another world again… Poor Harry has been displaced within the multiverse again.
Please list and explain the three worst (morally) things your character has ever done in canon:
Holding a grudge against one of his professors. Out of all the Hogwarts staff, Harry has the biggest beef with Severus Snape the moment they first met. While he didn’t know his parents’ connection with Snape initially, they certainly exchanged not so pleasant words to each other and Harry even snapped at him a couple of times. Eventually once Harry learns more about Snape, that he and his mom used to friends, his dad being initially a jerk, and most of all, his loyalty to Dumbledore, Harry begins to slowly let go the grudge against the Potions professor and he did slowly appreciate the man more by the time of his death. Attempting to murder his own godfather. Prior to his first meeting with his godfather Sirius Black in years, a teenage Harry was led to believe that Sirius was the one who betrayed him and his family, making this the first time he actually wanted to kill someone for real. It was not until near the end of his Third Year that he discovered that Sirius was falsely imprisoned and someone else (Peter Pettigrew) did betrayed his family instead. Ever since then their relationship did become stronger up until the end. Having a fallout with Ron. It is not everyday one can have a fallout as deep as Harry and Ron’s argument in Deathly Hallows. For one it is not out of their own choice but a cursed locket certainly did a lot to mess with their emotions that they have a big fight which caused Ron to leave him and Hermione. This went on for a month and Harry does feel guilty for being a very terrible friend to him at the time. Luckily Ron does come back to save the day and destroy Slytherin’s Locket for good.
Please list and explain the three best (morally) things your character has ever done in canon.:
Stopping a monster from attacking a (future) friend. Let’s face it: Harry and Hermione didn’t become the best of friends right away. Her insufferable genius tendencies did turn him and Ron off for weeks. But when it is revealed that a troll was in the school ground, they immediately discover that Hermione wasn’t in the evacuation and they choose to find her and fight the troll off. After this moment and Hermione taking the blame for them, the three became the closest of friends and they stick by each other even when they are bickering with each other. Saving Dudley. Harry didn’t have the best relationship with his maternal family and Petunia’s side of the family are among the worst people you can imagine. Dudley was a big bully who made his pre Hogwarts life very miserable. And yet despite the pains, Harry does risk his own life and his schooling to save his cousin’s life from Dementors. Not only does this make Dudley wake up and make up for his past aggressions, this also highlights Harry’s caring heart and his willingness to save lives even if he is also in danger. Offering his life to save an entire school and community. Yes there is that prophecy that he is entangled with but he does choose to surrender himself to the very man who wanted to get rid of him and seek out immortality. It is out of his own selfless heart and, because of this act (even though he didn’t die per say), his act of sacrifice did indeed brought protection to Hogwarts and the people fighting for it.
Please list and explain the three worst (morally) things your character has ever done in other games:
Keeping some parts of his past a secret from his friends. Due to old habits dying hard and his concern that someone from Voldemort’s side might show up, Harry has to keep some parts of his past and stuff from his world a secret for the safety of his new friends. He doesn’t want to speak too much about them unless he chooses to be more open about it. Causing a bit of demonic mischief. During the magical chaos of February 2021, Harry became the temporary recipient of the demonic powers of one Anthony J. Crowley. He was encouraged by the demon to have some fun by causing some mayhem and, while he didn’t admit it to anyone else, Harry did for once enjoyed stirring a bit of chaos in his wake. Unknowingly helped in waking up a morally questionable necromancer. What appeared to be an innocent search mission became a horrific outlet to disaster and Harry was among the several people who went into the quest. The necromancer did have a spell that should have calmed down the angry spirits but it literally angered the dragon of the Ash Mountains who proceeds to destroy Celliwig and Lestari and woke up a stone giant that then absorbs all the spirits before falling apart. This is the first major mess in Avalon that shook Harry to the core and he feels horrible that he unwittingly helped a very questionable sorcerer to get away with it.
Please list and explain the three best (morally) things your character has ever done in in other games.:
Making efforts to help Avalon with his new magic. Despite arriving at the worst timing soaking wet and having his magic traded for Avalon’s magic, Harry vows to make the best of his new magic and help out the world in any way he can. From handling side quests to risking his life to retrieve the Black Knight’s sword to finding the library beast to participating in the Lestari search and rescue group, the young man is determined to contribute as much as possible to his temporary home of almost two years that many of his deeds eventually got him knighthood. Helping a selkie to return home. Harry will do anything to help others in need and the selkie maiden quest is one of them. With the help of Claire and Samatoki, Harry breaks into her captor’s house and frees her coat from a chest. After he managed to escape, he returns it to her and she is finally able to return to the sea. Because of this, the selkies consider him as a friend and it is one of the acts that gave him knighthood. Being one of many people who helped in saving time and the multiverse from the Calamity. Eventually the efforts of him and several people culminated in the joint effort to stop the cursed Excalibur and end the Calamity once and for all. Harry was among the participants who fought hard against the cursed legendary sword while the others solved puzzles to destroy it from the inside. Luckily their efforts paid off and Time, the Isle of Avalon and the multiverse are saved.
Please put the twelve things above on a timeline relevant to each other: 4-1-2-5-3-6-10-7-11-8-9-12
Do you consider your character a hero, an anti-hero, a good aligned side kick, a bystander, a victim, a fence sitter, a mercenary, an evil aligned side kick, a villain, or something else? Why?: Hero. Because even if he made some questionable things and decisions in his life, in the end he truly cares about doing the right thing and helping out others. He will never stop reaching out and ensuring that no one gets harmed in some fashion.
Do you think your character should start on the Isle or in Auradon? Why?: Probably Auradon. As funny as it is to throw him into the Isle to deal with a life with no magic, Harry is still a good man in his core and he does more than enough good deeds to send him on his way to Auradon.
Which of those two would you prefer your character to start in?: Auradon
Are you still interested in having this character in this game at this time if that preference is not met?: Yes, yes I do
Powers and Abilities:
Canon: Magic (Wand, Wandless, and Non-verbal), Basic Wizarding Knowledge (Magical Creatures, Charms, Herbology, Transfiguration, basic Astronomy), Healing Magic, Potion Making, Master of Death (will be nerfed upon arrival), Wand Versatility, Resourcefulness, Broom Flying, Excellent Quidditch Player, Detective Skills, Leadership & Teaching Skills, Indomitable Will, Love (could be nerfed upon arrival?)
Gained in Avalon: Kinetic Magic (Telekinesis, Teleportation, Speed Manipulation, Telekinetic Push and Pull, Flight, Intangibility), Elemental Magic (Fire, Ice, Lightning, Water, Wind, Earth), Cafe Barista Skills, Decent Amateur Singing, Above Average Home Cooking, Basic Sword and Polearm Fighting
What clothing/items did your character arrive with? (See rules and FAQ for what is allowed, feel free to ask if you are unsure): Harry will arrive from his barely minutes long return to his world wearing the very clothes he had worn during the Avalon endgame. Worn around his neck are a protection spell charm necklace which was a gift from his former Celliwigan roommate before the final battle and a Floral Illuminator necklace (containing a small magical pearl and a magical lotus: it will light up flowers within a 100 radius to glow faintly to provide a lighted path whenever the person using it says "please light the way" to the vial, limits may apply) and a wristwatch on his wrist.
His wand is tucked away inside one of his jeans pockets while he carries with him a sword on his belt scabbard and a double bladed polearm in his hands (ends up being a very padded sparring pole on arrival). Packed inside his backpack (aside from 4 sets of clothes & undergarments and a wash bag) include a shard of James Potter’s communication mirror, a photo album of pictures of his parents and friends, the Invisibility Cloak (family heirloom, use may be limited in-game), the Elder Wand, his Gryffindor house scarf, a penknife handle, his smartphone and a pair of wireless earbuds (rendered as useless), a notebook containing notes and spells he has gotten/written in Avalon, two pens (black and blue), and a pair of eyeglasses that he no longer needs.
And if it is possible, his beloved pet owl/friend Hedwig needs to go with him: she already died in his canon so it would be very weird if she returns home as if she didn’t die.
Optional - What do you have to keep in mind when playing this character?: While it’s undeniable that Harry’s a good person, he does have flaws and his emotions can get the best of him, he can lost it if pushed beyond his limits. He’s very infamous for sometimes acting like an arrogant prick unintentionally, jumps first before thinking twice, and has a tendency to obsess over futile things and matters. The man can be very judgmental, especially during his early Hogwarts years, though this has lessened over the years the longer he studies at the school. Also to note is that he has noble intentions and a good heart, but he too uses some questionable things in order to get to his goals. Of course, there is his infamous people saving thing that gets him blinded sometimes even if someone is not in danger.
What mod candy, if any, does your character bring? (Aka what elements would you really like to see us play with?): Harry brings in more magical chaos even if he didn’t ask for it and tons of snark, tons of snark. Also it would be very hilarious to see Harry getting all sorts of shenanigans and being wound up in musical numbers since his OG film actor has been involved in two Broadway musical plays and can sing really well for someone who doesn’t work fully as a singer.
What else do you think the mods should know about your character or their canon?: Nope, not really needed
Any questions?: N/A
